We are excited to announce that construction is underway on a unique, family-friendly Food and Beverage concept at the gateway to the Tasman East District, just a 10-minute walk from the San Francisco 49ers Levi's Stadium. The Food & Beverage Garden (name and logo to be released soon!) is poised to become the premier social gathering spot on game days and a popular lunch and dinner destination for the neighborhood.

Key features include:

  • Food trucks serving a multitude of cuisines alongside a full interior bar with locally crafted beers, wines, and cocktails
  • A blend of dining, drinking, and seating areas, both indoors and outdoors

Job Summary: The Food Runner position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to facilitate the seamless flow of food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with chefs and kitchen staff to understand the status of each order.
  • Ensure that all items on an order are prepared and plated correctly.
  • Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate tables.
  • Prioritize hot or time-sensitive items to maintain their temperature and quality.
  • Check each dish for accuracy, presentation, and adherence to quality standards before delivering to the customer.
  • Verify special requests or dietary restrictions and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
  • Work closely with servers to match food orders with the correct tables.
  • Support servers when needed, such as refilling water or clearing empty plates.
  • Keep the expo area and service stations clean and organized.
  • Assist in bussing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Maintain open communication channels with the kitchen, servers, and other restaurant staff.
  • Relay important information, such as delays or changes in orders, promptly.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner during the food delivery process.
  • Address any guest concerns or inquiries related to the food being served.
  • Handle multiple orders simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Assist in managing peak dining hours and ensuring timely service.
  • Monitor the quality of dishes to uphold the restaurant's standards.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the kitchen or management for resolution.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure an exceptional dining experience by following the Company's standard of service.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.

Must Haves:

  • Previous experience as a Runner or other support staff in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and health regulations
  • Customer-centric
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a high-demand and fast-paced work environment.
